In the aquaculture industry, geomembranes can be used for anti-seepage and isolation at the bottom of fish and shrimp farming ponds. HDPE geomembranes made from ordinary raw materials can last 3-5 years. With planned cleaning and maintenance, thinner geomembranes are damaged from natural or human, so they are replaced every 3-5 years at most. So it requires multiple purchases and installations within 10 years, which can result in higher costs. Fish and shrimp farming is directly related to food safety. In addition, Zhonglong brand geomembrane also adds carbon black and other stabilizers (about 2.5% of the total raw materials) according to standards to achieve excellent oxidation resistance, aging resistance and UV resistance. Taking the 0.5 mm thick HDPE geomembrane as an example, its effective service life is at least 5-10 years or more, and it has excellent ESCR, which can ensure that the geomembrane will not be damaged by soil settlement or other causes of stress.
